The Passion of Lucia will be part of the event that closes a lifetime dedicated to project films of the Cinemateca Distrital of Bogotá, Colombia. Our short will be screened on this special night, along with other winners, including the most outstanding of the latest editions of Imaginatón. As we told you in our previous news The Passion of Lucia won second place, professional category, at this competition. The event will be held on May 31 at 6:00 p.m. The Bogoshorts Sessions organized by the Bogotá Short Film Festival – Bogoshorts is in charge of the current venue and programming.

Currently located in “Carrera 7ª & 22“, the Cinemateca Distrital within the plan of renovation of the historical center of Bogotá, it will be moved to its new headquarters. Starting in June, the new home of the Cinemateca will be at “Carrera 3 & Calle 19“. It will include technologically adapted spaces for the new audiovisual and artistic trends that are coming to the future.

The event will close decades of history that the Cinemateca helped to build and preserve since its foundation in 1971; his development of the film heritage; the preservation of jewels like “Garras de Oro“, Colombian film irrupting in its moment by its political content; collections of publications and research such as “Cuadernos de Cine Colombiano“; the support of alternative festivals such as “Ciclo Rosa“ (CICLA); its program of creation workshops “Cinemateca Rodante“ and an endless number that prove the great contribution it has made to the national cinema. Now in this new stage that closes on May 31st, we wish the Cinematheque our best and our gratitude to leave a great mark on the history of film in Bogotá, and all around Colombia.
