The short film Aurorita of my eyes produced and realized by Chinchilla Films in 2018, is premiering the second semester of 2019. During the next months leading up to the big day, premiere we’ll be dedicated to telling you about many of the anecdotes and stories that sometimes seem more unreal than the movie itself.

We will begin with one of the works that we shots with actors: Edgar Durán Jr. and Paola Rodríguez Olaya during their 9 months of preparation for the film. During that time, they got to perform several different kinds of exercises, such as dancing tango, learning yoga and classic theater techniques, among others. One of these exercises was to shoot a classic scene of the film Blue Valentine directed by Derek Cianfrance. The director of the shortfilm, Natalia Chinchilla, wanted to make use of this scene in particular to strengthen the chemistry between the actor. In her own words: “We had to get Aurora and Raúl to fall in love so passionately, and at the same time so painfully that they understood that kind of love” that cannot be digested even if you got a stomach, the size of a cow.
